I. Non-Degree Programs

1. Application Requirements

High school diploma; good health

2. Application Materials

(Documents can be prepared in either Chinese or English. UIBE will not return the application materials to candidates regardless of acceptance or not.)

(1) UIBE application form (Apply online)

(2) A copy of highest diploma and transcripts

(3) A copy of guarantor's passport or ID

(4) Applicants under 18 need to submit notarized guardianship certificate.

(5) A copy of passport or other identification

(6) Two recent passport photos, white background, no hat

II. Bachelor’s Degree Programs

1. Application Requirements

(1) High school diploma, good health

(2) Applicants under 18 need to submit notarized guardianship certificate upon the approval of UIBE (For detailed information, please refer to Admissions Office).

2. Application Materials

(Application materials must be prepared in either Chinese or English and will not be returned to candidates whether they are accepted or not.)

(1) UIBE Application Form (Apply online)

(2) A copy of high school graduation certificate and transcripts

(3) A copy of guarantor’s passport or ID

(4) A copy of passport or other identification

(5) Two recent passport photos, white background, no hat

(6) A copy of TOEFL or IELTS scores report. The minimum score for TOEFL is 86 and 6.0 for IELTS. (If high school courses are taught in English, please submit the official letter about the applicant’s English proficiency).

Note: For those who apply for IUP, the Admissions Office verifies the application materials which the applicant provides. There is no entrance examination.

III. Master’s Degree Programs

1.Application Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, good health, corresponding high English language proficiency

2. Application Materials

(Application materials must be prepared in either Chinese or English and will not be returned to candidates whether they are accepted or not.)

(1) UIBE Application Form (Apply online)

(2) A copy of highest graduation certificate and transcripts

(3) Two reference letters from the applicant’s associate professors or professors

(4) A copy of guarantor’s passport or ID

(5) A copy of passport or other identification

(6) Two recent passport photos, white background, no hat

(7) A copy of TOEFL or IELTS scores report. The minimum score for TOEFL is 86 and 6.0 for IELTS.

Note: For those who apply for English teaching graduate courses, the Admission Office verifies the application materials which the applicant provides, passes the materials to the related school to carry on the qualifications and admission, there is no entrance examination.

IV. Doctoral Degree Programs

1. Application Requirements

Master’s degree, good health, corresponding high English language proficiency

2. Application Materials

(Application materials must be prepared in either Chinese or English and will not be returned to candidates whether they are accepted or not.)

(4) A copy of master thesis or other published thesis required for Doctoral programs

(5) A copy of guarantor's passport or ID

(6) A copy of passport or other identification

(7) Two recent passport photos, white background, no hat

(8) A copy of TOEFL or IELTS scores report. The minimum score for TOEFL is 86 and 6.0 for IELTS.
